We live in the 21st century! We are all 'greenies' apparently and we are all so concerned about the environment.
But lets rewind one second and have a look at one of our actions (ladies) which are causing SOOO much damage to planet earth on a yearly basis.
Most women have their periods yes? How many pads and tampons do you go through in one cycle? So how many is that a year? Over 10 years? 20?
Every year, women are creating millions of tones worth of wastage and dump build up because of the use of menstrual products. The used tampons and pads are sanitised and binned with the rest of rubbish out there.
There isn't another solution you say?
Well hell yeah there is!!!
DIVA CUP!
Its a menstrual cup which is a once in a lifetime buy (or can be replaced when you like, but once every 5 years can be the average). Its made of silicon and you basically put it up there, it pops open and suctions to the walls of your vagina and holds the blood, until you get it out when the change is needed and wash the diva cup, put it back and so on.
Its so comfy I always forget its there. And you will get used to the cycles of the use of the diva cup (just like you got used to using tampons) and you will know when you need to change it, so it will never leak.
You can sleep with it and have it in all day, every day during your periods. ZERO HARM!
The reason its not available in Australia is because tampon companies have stopped it from coming into the market, classifying it as a syrgical device (because you have to put it up yourself...just like tampons I might ad-expect there is zero harm unlike tampons). The tampon companies were scared that if this would get out into the market, they would lose all market share because there would be no need for tampons or pads any more.
Ladies, I dont work for Diva Cup and never have. But I have been a user of this product for about 5 years (only have had one cup so far-no need to replace it yet) and I think this is the best invention for women-EVER!.
I want to spread the word and make every womans life better.
Now, so you know, there are two sizes. One is small for pre-birth giving and one is slightly larger for after birth has been given..
go to divacup.com (i think, just google it) and get yourself a cup today!
